the intent of this community project is to spread awareness about racism that still exists in our communities and to open dialogues around the subject cross-culturally, inter-generationally and across class lines. these films were made from some of the stories that were collected as part of this project.

interviews with four women explore their experience of safety and belonging
this film initially was a 2 channel video projection with live audio performed by Rene Cherrie and lisa g. made to be part of Sound + Vision: An Experimental Collaboration as part of Art Waste. many of these participating artists formed Iris Film Collective.
