working within vancouver civic politics i hooked up with COPE and City Councillor Jean Swanson. one of the many things we fought for was Mansion Tax, an effort to raise money for true affordable housing in this expensive city. owners of properties over $5 million and $10 million would pay a tax that could end homelessness in under 3 years.
